London's brightest business minds met MFC Equity

Two weeks ago, some of London's brightest business minds got together in London for the 2018 UCL DECA competition, hosted by the innovative workplace provider Fora - Borough. MFC Equity was pleased to accept the invitation for our Co-Founder & VP, Bence Banhalmi and Head of London, Marko Morocz to attend as guest speakers.

Organised annually by the UCL Business Society, UCL DECA is one of the UK's largest case study competition aiming to give students a chance to demonstrate their problem solving and decision-making skills in a competitive business environment. There are different topics in the DECA "curriculum", ranging from technology entrepreneurship to strategy consulting, in which students compete with each other.

Besides the different case solving competitions, participants had the opportunity to join guest speakers and attend lectures between sessions. Amongst numerous topics – such as FinTech – Bence Banhalmi gave an introduction to the world of venture capital through his experience working in the space. Bence is an investment analyst at Eight Roads, a London based venture capital and private equity firm. It is safe to say that his deep knowledge in finding the growth potential in companies has proved to be an essential asset at MFC Equity. He shared some of these with the audience through a case study on one of Eight Road's portfolio companies in the FinTech space.

Another keynote speaker at the event was MFC's Head of London, Marko Morocz, who also sits on MFC's executive committee. He introduced our organisation and the local branch together with Bence to the audience, which was very well received by the audience. MFC is all about finding and nurturing the best talents, and we believe that the applications that soared in after the event shows us that with UCL DECA we have found a truly great partner for finding this talent.
